Hello, welcome to Descendants of Harv.  Pictured here is every grandchild of Harvey and Edith Schmick (except for Toni Rae Ortega who had not been born until a couple years later). 

This is a rare photo in that it captures one of the last times that all 13 grandchildren (minus Toni Rae) were all in the same place at the same time.  It is my understanding that this photo was taken in December of 1981 and then given to Harvey and Edith as a Christmas gift.  In some ways it mirrors a family photo from 1955 that includes Harvey and Edith with all six of their children, who are :  Gary (aka King), John (aka J.R.), Nadra, Ruby, Pam and Jay.  

These six children of Harvey and Edith's produced 14 grandchildren.  Four boys; Mark, Paul (aka Ed), Matt and Wolfgang (aka Gary) and ten girls; Lou, Tina, Brandy, Cynthia, Jodi, Mary, Lisa, Stacy, Heidi and Toni Rae. 

These 14 grandchildren have produced  nearly 30 children of their own and I believe one or two of their children have produced children.

Harvey and Edith passed away some time ago.  Their youngest son Jay passed away in 1999 and their youngest daughter Pam passed just recently.  

This blog is dedicated to recounting the stories and history of Harvey and his descendants.  I've lived and seen a good deal of these stories and history and I know it is worth telling.  So I would like to invite all of the descendants of Harvey and Edith to share any photos and stories about their lives or the lives of other fellow descendants of Harvey and Edith.  Husbands, wives, step-children, dogs and cats and anyone else associated with Harvey and his descendants are also highly encouraged to share.
